Position Summary: A Plumbing Designer is responsible for designing basic building systems, preparing technical documents and performing engineering calculations in coordination with project teams.
As a Plumbing Designer you will have the opportunity to contribute yourexpertiseto our six market sectors, including Business, Community, Grocery & Distribution, Health, Retail, and Venue.
Within each sector, we seamlessly integrate our engineering knowledge with the in-the-field experience of our sister company,Henderson Building Solutions , to deliver a client experience unlike any other in the industry. Key Responsibilities:
- Performs calculations and design basic engineering systems in collaboration with experienced design staff.
- Prepares system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics.
- Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
- Prepares or modifies reports, plans, and designs for projects.
- Supports business development or pursuit activities.
- Participates in client, company and/or industry events to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Occasionally visits job sites to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
- Seeks to fill gaps in industry and/or discipline knowledge on a continuous basis.
