Accounts Payable Specialist

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for one of our largest, long standing clients in Lenexa. Responsibilities

+ Handle a high volume of accounts payable invoices with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring proper data capture and timely resolution of any invoice discrepancies.

+ Gather invoices from internal departments and enter them into the financial system for review, approval, and posting.

+ Prepare and maintain accounts payable reports for internal management use.

+ Demonstrate strong attention to detail, reliability, and organizational skills.

+ Work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment, with a focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.

+ Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from internal teams and external vendors.

+ Utilize computer systems proficiently and adapt quickly when learning new financial or software tools.

+ Communicate clearly and work cooperatively with colleagues across various communication channels.

+ Produce ad hoc reports or analysis for leadership as requested.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelors degree highly preferred

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot tables and V Look-Ups.

+ 1+ years of accounts payable experience.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment.

+ Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new functionalities.

Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience working with a high volume of invoicing workflow.

+ Large company experience is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $60000.00/yr.

ESOP Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA options 20 days of PTO
