The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a strategic executive responsible for the overall financial health, stability, and long-term sustainability of the credit union. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO provides financial leadership by directing accounting, finance, budgeting, asset/liability management (ALM), treasury investments, financial planning and analysis, regulatory reporting, and financial risk management.
The CFO serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Board of Directors, Supervisory Committee, Asset Liability Committee (ALCO), and executive leadership by providing sound financial analysis, strategic recommendations, and insights that support informed decision-making and organizational growth.
The CFO ensures compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) requirements while promoting operational excellence, fiscal responsibility, and the credit union’s Mission.
Major Responsibilities- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years in an executive or senior leadership role.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred
