  • Independently manage construction and reserve draw requests end-to-end for a diverse commercial real estate loan portfolio
  • Process borrower consents, perform financial analysis, and handle ad hoc asset management duties within the contracted scope of service
  • Oversee junior staff performing draw administration and asset management functions
  • Ensure team tasks are completed on time while meeting internal controls, audit standards, and client service levels
  • Perform quality control on junior team members' work for quality, accuracy, and completeness
  • Manage client expectations and act as an initial contact for process clarification and project coordination
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members to promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Review draw packages, coordinate missing borrower information, confirm disbursement conditions, and communicate deficiencies to lenders
  • Manage borrower consent requests and coordinate approvals with co-lenders
  • Monitor capital sources and uses and coordinate resolution of loan imbalances
  • Review TI/LC allowances and change orders for compliance with loan documentation and leases
  • Analyze construction or disbursement items and prepare lender approval recommendations
  • Review invoices and lien waivers
  • Order and review inspection reports and title updates, endorsements, and date downs
  • Update budget trackers and confirm required hard- and soft-cost contingencies
  • Collaborate across teams and departments to deliver accurate, timely client deliverables
  • Correspond with sponsors and borrowers regarding capital expenditures, leasing progress, and construction status
  • Assist leadership with KPI and SLA monitoring and identify areas for improvement
  • Escalate non-compliant issues to senior leadership and support resolution
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree; preferred fields of study include real estate, finance/accounting, or business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically including 2+ years in an AVP-level role or external equivalent
  • Experience in commercial real estate and debt or equity asset management preferred
  • Proficiency with major property types: office, industrial, retail, and multifamily
  • Basic knowledge of specialty property types: hotels and condominiums
  • Proficiency with advanced CRE principles including underwriting, loan servicing, and treasury practices
  • Proficiency with CRE calculations and concepts including IRR, NPV, DSCR, DY, NOI/NCF
  • Basic knowledge of deal types including transitional, development, pre-development, repositioning, and stabilized properties
  • Basic knowledge of complex debt positions including participations, syndications, CLOs, senior and mezzanine debt, warehouse and repo lines
  • Ability to create complex financial models in Excel or similar programs and demonstrate strong analytical skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strategic client relationships as a trusted advisor and escalation point
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and/or manage asset management services professionals
  • Ability to collaborate with functional verticals and leaders to execute strategic goals and initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to engage and present to stakeholders at all business levels
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, including ability to address complex issues and provide recommendations
  • Ability to lead and contribute to a high-performing team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ability to influence adoption of new software applications and processes and manage occasional testing for new technology deployments
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
