Senior Aviation Military Analyst (Cargo Helicopter Subject Matter Expertise)
Location: Fort Novosel, AL (on-site)
About the positionThe purpose of this position is to provide professional support services for Army Capability Managers (ACMs) and the Experimentation and Analysis Directorate (CEAD) located at United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Fort Novosel, Alabama.
Responsibilities- Provide coherent presentations, documentation, and executive summaries using traditional business communication mediums for senior leadership decisions.
- Conduct stakeholder meetings, work groups, telephone, and video conferences.
- Prepare products and documentation using Microsoft Office or other similar business software to prepare and provide briefings to leadership for decision making on Army Aviation Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, Facilities (DOTMLPF) and the costs including manning, training and equipping to implement.
- Produce written products such as white papers, concept papers, requirements documents, operational views, etc., independently under broad senior level guidance, ensuring graduate-level quality.
- Required former or current U.S. Army Reserve or National Guard Field Grade Officer / Field Grade Warrant Officer / Senior NCO (CSM/CW4/CW5/MAJ/LTC).
- Fifteen (15) years of aviation operations experience in cargo helicopter formations.
- Ch‑47 experience required.
- Senior or Master rated aviator required for Field Grade Officer and Field Grade Warrant Officers.
- Graduation from CGSC/ILE or Warrant Officer Senior Staff Course required for Field Grade officers and Warrant Officers.
- Prior SGMs or US Army Reserve/National Guard SGMs require the Sergeant Major Course.
- Five (5) years of experience working in combat/capabilities developments required.
- CH-47 aircraft qualification and operational experience required.
- Must be capable of independent work based on broad senior level guidance to produce completed written products as required within the scope of the contract.
- SECRET clearance required.
- DAU or equivalent courses:
- Introduction to JCIDS CLR 101 (RQM 1010)
- Requirements Management RQM 110 (RQM 1101)
- Capabilities Based Assessment CLR 250 (RQM 2500)
- Developing Key Performance Parameters CLR 252 (RQM 2520)
- Defense Acquisition University courses – Market Research CON 0040, and Analysis of Alternatives CLR 1510.
