Site Safety Manager
Occupational Health and Safety:
Serves as a consultant advocating for continuous improvement of comprehensive environmental, health, and safety processes. Advises steering committees, supervisors, and management on best methods to resolve environmental, health, and safety concerns, including engineering controls, administrative measures, and personal protective equipment. Investigates accidents to identify causes and prevent future incidents, analyzes trends and root causes of accidents, and develops action plans to eliminate hazards.
Conducts workplace audits and inspections to identify and alleviate environmental factors affecting employee health and safety, conducts ergonomic assessments, and recommends actions. Plans, develops, and conducts safety, occupational health, and related training activities. Attends or facilitates meetings on safety concerns and practices, advising department managers on handling safety or health situations. Monitors compliance with applicable laws and regulations, conducts routine inspections, and interprets new regulations to determine applicability.
Investigates health‑related complaints and ensures facilities comply with public health legislation. Prepares management reports and correspondence related to program evaluation and performance measures; maintains required records and reports. Introduces and implements campaigns for accident and injury prevention and environmental protection. Other related duties may also be performed; not all duties listed are necessarily performed by every individual holding this classification.
Relations
Maintains relationships with the community, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the organization’s environmental performance. Collaborates with engineers or physicians to institute control or remedial measures for hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions or equipment.
ComplianceCommits to continuous improvement in occupational safety/health, environmental protection, and quality management. Is familiar with key quality, safety/health, and environmental (QSHE) aspects, relevant legal requirements, and emergency preparedness and response.

Other Requirements- Excellent command of both oral and written local language and English.

University (Bachelor’s Degree) in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or other EHS-related field.
ExperienceMinimum 5 years of experience in environmental health or occupational safety field.
Knowledge and Skills- Knowledge of local laws, standards, regulations, and policies pertaining to environment, health, and safety.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of SAP (EHS module) and MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of statistical methods applied to loss prevention is preferred.
- Knowledge of methods, techniques, and practices used in workforce training is preferred.
- Ability to understand and implement principles of environmental health and occupational safety.
- Ability to evaluate information to determine compliance with standards.
- Ability to identify unsafe working conditions through on‑site inspections.
- Ability to conduct environmental health investigations and mitigation programs.
- Ability to research, interpret, and apply technical information to prepare clear and concise management reports.
- Ability to analyze situations accurately and recommend effective action.
