Job Description
Play abilities is a multi-disciplinary pediatric occupational, physical, and speech therapy clinic located in Johnson County, Kansas. We provide personalized, intensive, and client-centered therapy services for children with various neurodevelopmental disabilities including developmental delays, autism, and sensory processing disorder. We provide a relaxed, yet professional work environment comprised of a collection of highly motivated, self-driven therapists who feed off of each other’s love for their job and compassion for helping our families.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for managing the entire client experience from initial evaluation to implementation of treatment to family education to discharge. No two children are the same and therapists will need to use their expertise and creativity to connect with their clients, implementing a variety of approaches to find the “just right” therapeutic fit for your clients. Our therapy style is primary play-based in a one-on-one setting however, co-treatment and group therapy is not uncommon.
ExpectationsTherapist will need to be a quick learner, capable of juggling multiple tasks and responsibilities at one time while providing high-touch service to clients, families, and caregivers.
Requirements- Applicants should have 2+ years of experience;
- Kansas Occupational Therapy License;
- At least a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university; and
- A professional liability policy
The employee will maintain a minimum of six (or more) available "after school" treatment hours (4:00 - 7:00 PM).
The current need at Leawood is Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. We can accommodate a candidate interested in Saturdays (between 8 am-2 pm).
CompensationThis position is paid $47 per billable hour of therapy.
BenefitsBenefits are not available for part-time positions. Full-time employees (therapists providing 25 or more billable treatment hours/week) are eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits package!
