Physical Therapist Pediatric/General Ortho - Stones Crossing

Physical / Occupational Therapy / Rehab Therapy

Responsibilities

A Physical Therapist will be responsible for interpreting results of initial evaluation, determining appropriate patient goals, and developing and modifying treatment plans as needed. The therapist will utilize appropriate treatment techniques, participate in teaching opportunities or clinical education of students, and engage in inter‑disciplinary program planning. The role requires establishing and maintaining a safe environment conducive to effective team functioning, positive patient outcomes, and personal safety.

The therapist must be willing to treat a split caseload of pediatrics and adult orthopedics. Pediatric caseload includes patients from birth to 18 years with developmental, neurological, congenital, and orthopedic conditions. Adult caseload includes general orthopedics and post‑op patients. Interest or experience in aquatic therapy is a plus but not required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited program is required.
  • Must have a valid Indiana Physical Therapy license or temporary permit
    .
  • Experience as a Pediatric and Adult Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist
    .
  • Knowledgeable in anatomy/physiology, evaluation, therapy, theoretical concepts, current materials, and professional trends.
  • Effective communication with staff, peers, patients, families, physicians, and internal/external customers.
  • Ability to incorporate a basic understanding of the behavioral, developmental, physical, emotional, and comfort needs of patients across all ages.
  • Must be able to lift/transfer patients and treatment supply items without restriction.
