Job Description:Full Time Nights
- Learns and demonstrates procedures according to ACNS guidelines and department policy.
- Prepares patients for testing using the International 10-20 system of measurement and hookup.
- Ensures patient safety throughout testing and maintains a professional, courteous, and compassionate attitude.
- Performs quality recordings, confirms the accuracy of data entry, collects pertinent patient history, conducts examinations, and prepares recordings for physician interpretation.
- Informs the physician and/or supervisor of changes in the patient’s condition or abnormalities on the recording.
- Maintains supplies and equipment for patient care and ensures equipment is in good working condition.
- Documents and accurately charges for procedures to meet quality standards set by the department and hospital.
- Supports and contributes to department and hospital quality improvement initiatives and proactively initiates process improvement ideas.
- Adheres to hospital infection control and safety standards.
- Communicates and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care and maintains confidentiality of patient and staff information.
- Attends monthly staff meetings, record review sessions, educational sessions, and other required meetings.
- Plans and manages time appropriately, conserves hospital supplies, equipment, and resources, and performs additional duties as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
