Overview

06/07/2026 - Orientation: 2-day orientation
- Work setting: hospital-based imaging department in travel assignment
- Perform diagnostic mammography examinations, including prone biopsies, upright biopsies, breast localizations, and contrast-enhanced mammography as required.
- Prepare and position patients, ensuring comfort and safety while obtaining high-quality diagnostic images in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Operate and troubleshoot mammography equipment (including appropriate platforms) and coordinate with radiologists for image interpretation.
- Document procedures in the EMR (EPIC EMR experience preferred) and maintain accurate patient records.
- Maintain radiation safety standards, infection control, and equipment quality control; participate in department quality initiatives.
- Collaborate with interventional and diagnostic imaging teams to support complex breast imaging procedures.
- Active ARRT in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M);
Basic Life Support (BLS); must hold an active Kansas Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) license at submittal. - Minimum 2 years of recent Mammography Technologist experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong experience in advanced breast imaging procedures, including prone and upright biopsies, breast localizations, and contrast-enhanced mammography.
- EPIC EMR experience and experience with Hologic Dimensions equipment preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume department.
- Shift requirements: 10-hour day shifts;
Mondays through Fridays with one weekday off per week; travel assignment.
- Orientation: 2-day onboarding during the start week
