We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Assistant to join our growing team of mental health professionals. This role is vital to supporting both providers and patients by ensuring smooth clinical and administrative operations. The Nurse Assistant will provide hands‑on support to patients, assist providers with clinical care, and help maintain efficient front‑office and back‑office functions.

Courser Lapo Therapeutic Wellness is a private group practice in Kansas with licensed therapists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, and speech language therapists committed to providing client‑centered therapy and impacting our communities.

Clinical Support

• Provide compassionate, hands‑on support to patients during visits.
• Assist providers with patient intakes, assessments, and ongoing care.
• Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation.
• Support medication management by coordinating with pharmacies, completing prior authorizations, and assisting with prescription refills as directed.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients in clinical settings.

• Manage the patient check‑in process, including scheduling, insurance verification, and front‑office support.
• Respond to patient phone calls, messages, and inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Assist with coordination of follow‑up appointments, referrals, and provider availability.
• Support billing processes by ensuring documentation accuracy for insurance and claim submissions.
• Work closely with providers, therapists, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality standards to protect patient information.
• Follow all clinic policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to the overall positive culture and smooth operations of the practice.

• Required:CNA, CMA, MA, LPN, or RN licensure/certification (current and in good standing).
• Experience:
  
  Previous healthcare or mental health setting experience preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment; attention to detail in documentation.
• Technical:
  Proficiency with EHR systems, scheduling software, and basic office technology.
• Personal:
  Compassionate, patient‑focused, and able to work collaboratively in a team‑based setting.

• Pay:Competitive hourly rate based on experience and licensure.
