Lakeview Village is a continuing care retirement community. We have an opening for a Dining Room Manager to work Full Time.
Lakeview's Dining Room Manager provides high levels of hospitality, service, and satisfaction for Lakeview Village residents and their guests by assisting with the food and beverage activities in Southridge Dining Room. Contributes to the residents' quality of life by providing superior communal meals, optimal choices, and caring services.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates, role-models, and maintains a high level of service and hospitality in a team-oriented setting.
- General management and supervision of all staff assigned to the location.
- Executes catering responsibilities in coordination with the Catering Manager and Director of Dining Services.
- Assists with the management of alcohol service in the assigned location in accordance with established policies.
- Management of all sanitation and safety functions and responsibilities. Ensures that the equipment, dining, and event spaces are safe, sanitary, and well-kept.
- Daily oversight of the Southridge budget and inventory as assigned by the Director of Dining Services.
- Assists with the creation, implementation, and administration of all departmental policies and procedures, with an emphasis on service and hospitality.
- Maintains all records, reports, and paperwork regarding assigned locations.
- Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel and other departments within the facility, to ensure that Dining Service programs can be properly maintained to meet the needs of facility and residents.
- Learns the name of each resident that frequently visits the Southridge Dining Room to ensure that high levels of hospitality and personalized service can be maintained.
- Attends, facilitates, and participates in in-service staff or resident committee meetings as required.
- Maintains proper personal appearance and hygiene in accordance with established procedures for all Southridge food and beverage personnel.
- High School Diploma or GED is required, Associate's Degree preferred. Hospitality Management area of study is desired.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Three years of progressive experience in a service management, long-term care, or hospitality setting are required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current Serv Safe certification is required within three months of hire date.
- Current Alcohol Safety training certificate is required within three months of hire date.
- Must possess a full knowledge and effective application of all Local, State, and Federal policies, procedures, and guidelines regarding food service practices.
- Must possess a basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites software.
- Ability to work overtime, holidays, special events, and weekends as assigned.
- Demonstrates good communication skills, including but not limited to effective reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, with a fluent understanding of the English language.
- Must possess basic mathematical skills.
- Must be skilled in leadership, mentoring, and motivation.
- Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.
