Customer Engineer for Power BI and SQL Server. We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect specializing primarily in Power BI with additional expertise in Fabric and SQL Server. This role focuses on designing and implementing modern analytics and data platform solutions using Power BI, Fabric, and SQL-based architectures. You'll act as a trusted technical advisor, guiding customers through design, implementation, migration, and optimization of modern data platforms.

Role type:
Bridge data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence to maximize data value through Fabric-powered analytics and Power BI insights.

• Deep expertise in Power BI (Power BI Embedded, tabular data modeling, DAX, Power Query M, paginated reports, RLS security, REST API, Direct Lake/Import/Direct Query)
• Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, One Lake, Data Pipelines, Semantic Models) and modern data warehouse patterns
• SQL Server (performance optimization, query tuning, indexing, partitioning, high availability, failover clustering, replication, encryption, capacity planning)
• Data connectivity (SQL, Analysis Services, Oracle, MySQL, Azure, AWS), SSRS, SSAS, Tableau to Power BI migrations

• Design enterprise Power BI architectures, semantic models, DAX calculations, dashboards, and Embedded solutions (80% workload)
• Implement data pipelines, security (RLS), governance, and performance optimization across datasets and reports
• Lead end-to-end analytics: ingestion, transformation, modeling, BI consumption; modernize on-prem warehouses to Fabric/Synapse
• Optimize SQL Server platforms (20% workload): query tuning, HA/DR, failover clustering, code reviews, storage management
• Provide architecture consulting, troubleshooting, and executive guidance for scalable, secure data platforms

• Proven track record in enterprise BI architecture, semantic modeling, data warehousing, and performance optimization
• Experience leading Power BI/SQL/Fabric implementations, migrations, and modernizations
• Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI, Fabric, SQL Server environments across customer‑facing roles
• Characteristics of importance include customer service, problem‑solving, communication skills, and ability to interpret executive needs

The salary for this position is between $115K-125K annually. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
