We’re hiring a Senior Principal Pre-Sales Solution Architect to support one of our most strategic client accounts within our Cloud Applications & Infrastructure (CA&I) portfolio. This is a senior, highly visible role for someone who thrives at the intersection of executive client engagement, solution architecture, and technology strategy.
In this role, you will operate as a Client CTO–level advisor, serving as a trusted technical partner to C-suite stakeholders. You’ll shape solution strategy, develop innovation roadmaps, and drive technical excellence across complex, enterprise-scale environments. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Delivery, Product, and Portfolio teams to architect and articulate compelling solutions aligned with client objectives and Unisys capabilities.
This role is ideal for someone who loves pre-sales, architecture, and strategic advisory, and wants to lead innovation and trusted client relationships at the highest levels.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary technical advisor to senior client leadership, including the C-suite
- Lead pre-sales solution architecture for complex, tailored solutions aligned with client needs, Unisys Cloud Applications & Infrastructure offerings, and emerging technologies
- Contribute to account strategy, develop annual and multi-year technology roadmaps, and drive innovation initiatives
- Partner with Sales to define, architect, and position competitive, value-driven solutions
- Foster long-term client relationships and identify opportunities to expand Unisys’s portfolio of services
- Develop and deliver executive-level presentations, workshops, and demos
- Lead or support RFP/RFI technical responses, ensuring strong differentiation and technical credibility
- Evaluate risks and ensure solutions align with security, operational, and regulatory standards
- 15+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Client CTO, or innovation leadership roles
- Strong background in Cloud Applications & Infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), with the ability to translate technology into business outcomes
- Proven experience in pre-sales solutioning, consultative selling, and executive-level client engagement
- Experience supporting government, public sector, or highly regulated clients (SLED, federal, or equivalent) is a strong plus
- Track record as the technical lead for large, complex technology programs or transformations
- Bachelor’s degree in a technology field (master’s preferred) or equivalent experience
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical solutions to senior business and technical audiences
