That’s where we help. At Overstory, we use AI and advanced satellite imagery to pinpoint and prioritize vegetation risks before they materialize. By giving utilities critical analysis on those risks, we’re helping prevent outages, reduce wildfire risks, and accelerate the transition to a safer, more resilient grid.

As Director of Product, you will lead Overstory’s product strategy across our data, AI, and machine learning platforms, owning the long‑term vision, aligning teams around strategic bets, and developing the systems that make focus and fast learning repeatable across the organization. You’ll partner with engineering, data science, and delivery leaders to turn data and model capabilities into scalable customer and business value.

This role combines deep technical understanding with strategic foresight and team leadership: you’ll guide product direction, mentor PMs and principals, and ensure Overstory’s platform accelerates insight delivery and impact for our customers.

• Own the product vision and strategy for Data & ML platforms—defining long‑term priorities that advance Overstory’s mission and business goals.
• Translate strategy into execution by aligning multiple teams around shared objectives, clear success metrics, and disciplined learning loops.
• Partner with engineering and data science leads to co‑design infrastructure and model pipelines that accelerate insight delivery and operational reliability.
• Shape the organization’s product system—hiring, developing, and mentoring PMs and product leaders to scale focus, prioritization, and learning velocity.
• Represent customer and market perspective at the company level; ensure Overstory’s technical bets map to real, validated customer value.
• Drive alignment across executives and functions through structured communication and crisp narrative on product direction and progress.

• 3+ years leading multiple product teams or domains, ideally including data, ML, or platform‑focused products.
• Demonstrated ability to operate from strategic vision to technical detail—able to connect long‑term direction with system design and execution.
• Proven track record building and scaling product organizations: hiring, mentoring, and growing future product leaders.
• Highly collaborative—trusted partner to engineering and delivery peers, able to align teams around shared priorities.
• Customer‑ and impact‑oriented—translates complex technology into measurable outcomes for customers and the business.
• Deep alignment with Overstory’s climate mission and comfort operating in a fast‑moving, growth‑stage environment.
