This is a 6‑month contract (with a strong possibility of extension) for a driven Business Systems Analyst to join a Revenue Cycle Redesign initiative. The successful candidate will work 100% remotely, aligned to Central Time Zone hours, supporting the evaluation and optimization of mission-critical systems.
Why This Role MattersRevenue cycle is the lifeblood of any organization—especially in healthcare and related industries. This opening offers a rare chance to influence the redesign of systems that directly affect billing, claims, and financial performance. If you have a knack for analyzing user needs, transforming processes, and liaising across multiple stakeholders, this position empowers you to make a tangible impact from day one.
Key Responsibilities- Requirements Gathering & Documentation
Collaborate with business users and domain experts to define and document detailed requirements. Craft scoping documents and initial estimates to lay the groundwork for demand management. - Idea Lifecycle Management
Own the submission and tracking of ideas—maintaining lifecycle status from conception through approval. Elevate high-impact concepts and shepherd them toward execution. - Project Tracking & Management
Administer project boards, monitor phase progression, and ensure milestones and deadlines are met. Proactively identify and escalate blockers or risks. - Data Integration & Reporting
Pull and manipulate data from Service Now as needed. Maintain and update Smartsheet and Google Sheets dashboards with advanced functionalities (e.g. VLOOKUP, COUNTIFS, SUMIFS). - Dashboard Creation & Maintenance
Build robust reporting tools with Smartsheet (grids, timelines) and Google Sheets, incorporating formulas, visual components, and KPI indicators. - Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as a bridge between the Strategic Realization Office, business units, IT, and other stakeholders to align on scope, timelines, and deliverables. - Independent Execution & Escalation
Operate with minimal oversight. Meet deadlines, own escalations, and drive clarity throughout project phases.
- 3–5 years in business systems analysis, data analysis, or project coordination with technical responsibilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication—able to liaise confidently with both business and technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work autonomously, drive deliverables, and act decisively.
- Google Sheets mastery, including advanced formulas (VLOOKUP, COUNTIFS, SUMIFS, etc.).
- Smartsheet experience, ranging from grid setup to dashboard creation and advanced reporting.
- Experience extracting and manipulating data via Service Now.
- Familiarity with G-Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides) for collaboration and documentation.
- Healthcare revenue cycle knowledge is a plus—though not strictly required.
- Experience coordinating projects and engaging stakeholders, delivering clear communication and scoped outcomes.
- A foundational understanding of revenue cycle flows—from patient registration to claims processing and reimbursement.
- Comfortable collaborating with technical teams (IT, PMOs, data analysts) and translating business needs into system specifications.
- Strong proficiency in spreadsheet and tabular tools—especially Smartsheet and Google Sheets.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive in decentralized environments.
- A quick learner with a solutions-focused mindset; unafraid to tackle novel challenges and drive implementation.
- Influence Real Revenue Systems:
Contribute to redesigning systems that impact organizational revenue and patient financial experience. - Elevate Reporting & Monitoring:
Build dashboards that empower real-time decision-making. - Cross-Functional Reach:
Collaborate with finance, IT, operational, and leadership teams to deliver comprehensive solutions. - Extension Potential:
Many projects naturally evolve—top performers often stay on long-term.
- Location:
Remote within the U.S., must align to Central Time business hours. - Contract:
Initial 6 months, with strong chance for extension or conversion. - Start Date:
As soon as background checks and provisioning allow—flexible to some degree.
