We are seeking an IT Technician to join our team. The IT Technician will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting machine-related software and hardware issues, attending project meetings, and staying up to date with the latest software and technology developments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The IT Technician will primarily work in a manufacturing environment with machines and machine operators, with occasional travel to other company sites worldwide.

Position Type + Hours

This is a permanent full-time, salaried position. The core schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, totaling 40+ hours per week. The role may occasionally require working outside regular hours, including evenings and weekends, for system maintenance and upgrades. International travel may also be involved for onboarding and training.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain machine-related hardware and software systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to machines
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems
  • Provide technical support for machine operators
  • Participate in project meetings to offer technical insights
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues to implement best practices
  • Manage automation system design for upgrades and new projects
  • Analyze processes and systems to propose improvements
  • Identify opportunities to implement new technologies for product and process enhancement
  • Train staff on equipment, systems, and best practices
  • Gather feedback to evaluate and improve system reliability and performance
  • Program simple applications and systems
Required Skills
  • Advanced computer skills, including implementation and monitoring of programs
  • Understanding of IT concepts, programming languages, and machinery operation
  • Experience troubleshooting machine-related hardware and software issues
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail for diagnosing problems between machines, software, and processes
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Positive attitude, flexibility, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds regularly
Minimum Requirements
  • 0-2 years of experience with machine mechanics, control systems, or related fields
  • Passport or ability to obtain one for international travel
  • Passion for learning and exploring new ideas
