Senior Business Systems Analyst, RPT Application Management

We are representing a global leader in the agribusiness and energy sector that is currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to join their IT Application Management team. This role is pivotal in supporting our client’s critical Energy operations, specifically focusing on refineries, pipeline systems, and terminal logistics.

The successful candidate will act as the primary bridge between the business operations and the technical IT teams, ensuring that system capabilities align perfectly with strategic goals.

• Strategic Advisory:
  Analyze industry trends and present technical solutions that drive tangible value for business partners.
• Requirements Engineering:
  Translate complex business objectives into detailed system specifications and user stories for development teams.
• Project Leadership:
  Lead business case development, including ROI analysis, risk assessments, and impact evaluations for new software functionality.
• System Ownership:
  Coordinate the full lifecycle of application support, from QA and user acceptance testing (UAT) to end-user training and post-go-live enhancements.
• Process Improvement:
  Proactively audit business processes to identify opportunities for automation, modernization, and cost avoidance.
• Vendor & IT Coordination:
  Act as the end-to-end IT coordinator, collaborating with cross-functional units to ensure project delivery and minimize support tickets through better error management.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related technical field.
• Experience:
  
  4+ years of professional experience in IT Business Systems Analysis.
• Technical Proficiency:
  Proven track record in requirement definition, business process mapping, and the implementation/support of integrated business applications.
• Location:
  
  Candidates must currently reside in the McPherson or Wichita, KS metro area to accommodate a hybrid schedule (3 days per week on-site at the refinery offices).

• Background in Energy, Oil & Gas, or Large-scale Agronomy systems.
• Experience with Microsoft development environments and Azure Dev Ops.
• Familiarity with Power Platform (Power BI/Power Apps) and GIS applications.
• Experience supporting COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) and EH&S (Environmental, Health, and Safety) software.
• Professional certifications in Business Analysis (CBAP/CCBA) or Project Management (PMP).
