Position Summary / Career Interest:
The Access Analyst is responsible for partnering with ambulatory practices to help achieve the goal of optimized patient access to services within the health system to meet Health System goals. The Access Specialist is a liaison for all clinical departments; gathers compiles, analyses and presents information and reports from multiple systems and departments, identifies access barriers and partners with the practice on improvement solutions by reviewing the performance against target conditions and goals, develops recommendations and does build within the EPIC environment to ensure solutions are integrated with all technology to enhance the patients experience while meeting the provider ,department and health system needs..

Required Cadence proficiency/certification Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions Must be proficient/certified as recognized through EPIC in Cadence. This must be maintained throughout employment in this role. Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Responsible for the build and maintenance of physician templates, visit types and blocks within the EHR by working with access and revenue cycle analysts, health system leaders/providers and HITs.

Ensures adherence to template standards as developed by the Office of Access Management. Ensures builds are integrated seamlessly with enhancement technologies. Works with individual practices to process and manage requests for schedule changes. Obtains, compiles, and presents data and possible solutions (if requested) for the Office of Access Mgmt. working with multiple different departments across the health system (including Ambulatory Operations, HITS, Revenue Cycle, Telecom, Analytics & Reporting).

Reviews dashboards, analyzes data, pulls preset reports or navigates within the system (such as appointment turnaround time, MyChart and internet appointment requests) on a regular basis to identify divergence of access and targets or identifies problems with capacity management. Regulates appropriate use of decision tree algorithms, scheduling policies and procedures, including regulating automated call distribution system and appointment phone numbers/scripting.

Recommends improvements and provides feedback/guidance to appropriate entities and partners including specialties, Access Office leadership or others as appropriate to resolve issues or concerns. Implements best practices based on leadership guidance and in collaboration with team. Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department. Associates Degree from an accredited College or University 2 or more years of experience in a healthcare setting OR 6 or more years experience as Application Analyst in lieu of Associates degree. Employees hired prior to April 2026 qualify with High School Diploma and eight (8) years of related experience which must include 4 years in optimization, end user trouble shooting, process improvement, data analysis help desk, EMR implementation, or technical workflows.

Bachelors Degree from an accredited College or University 3 or more years experience in Healthcare setting in an informatics role.

Epic Care Ambulatory Certification
- Epic Systems Corporation Must obtain Epic proficiency within 180 days of completing orientation. Certification required within 1 year from start date. The certification must be maintained according to Epic’s CEE program guidelines. within 180 Days

Advanced English
