** Sompo has a unique opportunity for a VP, Livestockin our Livestock team.

The
** Vice President, Livestock
** is responsible for strategy and execution of Agri Sompo’s livestock insurance, leading the business unit end to end. This executive sets the strategic direction of the business unit in the market, working with the national marketing team, is responsible for business outcomes, and is accountable for every aspect of performance—planning, business and market strategy, technology prioritization, operations (underwriting and claims), agency and distribution relationships, commission and expense management.

The role demands a deep understanding of the livestock industry and the federal insurance products alongside best-in-class expertise in livestock risk management, including hedging, livestock futures, and options trading (puts and calls). This individual must understand, engage with and deliver tailored value to multiple audiences—from large, sophisticated insurance brokers to local agents and ranchers—and provide the innovative leadership, market analysis, and risk management capabilities required to guide strategic initiatives and drive unit success.

* Ownership of the livestock business unit, holding full accountability for its end-to-end performance, profitability, and growth in the market.
* Set the business and market strategy for the livestock business unit, defining its competitive positioning and go-to-market approach.
* Lead all operations of the livestock program, including underwriting and claims, ensuring disciplined execution and high-quality service.
* Prioritize technology investments and drive the technology roadmap to advance the business unit’s products, analytics, and operational efficiency.
