Director, North American Fulfillment

Corbion is seeking a Director of North American Fulfillment based in the Lenexa, KS office. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a fast‑paced team, leading and coordinating across Operations, Commercial, Customer Service, Finance and Procurement. Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills across all levels are essential. A strong background in supply chain, excellent leadership and project management skills, and attention to detail are required.

In this role, you will have overall responsibility for high‑level supply planning, inventory management, inbound and outbound material transport, and warehousing/distribution activities in the US and Canada. You will work closely with Commercial and Operations to ensure the right products are at the right place at the right time, delivered with outstanding quality and service while driving top performance of the team, systems, and cost efficiency in working capital and operating costs.

Supply‑chain activities of the manufacturing plants (production planning, scheduling & local warehouse operations) are outside the scope of this role; however, you will identify and standardize best practices across all locations.

• Manage all aspects of supply planning and inventory control, material transport and logistics, and warehouse and distribution for the US and Canada, including incoming material from other regions. Ensure finished goods are delivered with the highest quality and service while minimizing cost to serve and working capital.
• Provide daily coaching and direction to the teams in those departments (4 direct reports and 40 indirect reports).
• Guide efforts to optimize raw material and finished goods inventories, reducing lead time, maximizing service and minimizing working capital. Support efforts to reduce scrapping of expiring materials and products.
• Identify and lead opportunities to improve coordination between the supply chain functions and Commercial teams, including Customer Service, Demand Planning, Product Management and the Account Managers / Directors.
• Oversee efforts to improve software systems and tools (TMS, S&OP, planning systems, SAP/EWM implementation).
• Manage third‑party and internal distribution centers. Optimize the distribution network to reduce ship‑to delivery lead times and costs and continually strive to improve quality of delivery and service.
• Participate in the negotiation and contracting of all road and rail carrier contracts; identify poor performance and provide alternative solutions.
• Analyze failures to ship on time in full, work with stakeholders to implement preventive measures and improve service to customers.
• Guide teams to properly price products, considering current and future freight rates.
• Develop and own operating cost budgets across all departments within the Supply Chain organization.
• Support Global Logistics Teams by sharing best practices and synergies between regions.

• Bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management or related field. An MBA and/or professional certification (PMP, CPM, APICS) preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in an operations/supply chain role, with at least 5 years in a senior role managing multiple supply chain disciplines, preferably from a food or food ingredient industry.
• Collaborate effectively and lead cross‑functional teams with strong influencing skills.
• Effective problem solver with a track record of delivering results.
• Proven communication skills with the ability to network internally and externally.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to apply knowledge in daily decision‑making.
• Ability to prioritize and make trade‑offs while managing small to mid‑scale projects.
• Proficient using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Experience in SAP is a plus.
