Operations Manager
Position Summary
Overall Goal of Position: Be an integral part of keeping our products moving and making sure customers receive the right products on time.
Schedule: 2nd Shift (5:00 pm – 3:30 am Monday – Friday)
* Weekends as needed.
Responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations during the evening shift, ensuring safety, productivity, accuracy, and team performance. Leads a team of warehouse associates in shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment while maintaining compliance with company policies and operational standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities on 2nd shift
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse associates
- Monitor productivity, accuracy, and quality standards
- Ensure timely and accurate order picking, packing, and shipping
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and proper procedures
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines
- Investigate and report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns
- Manage staffing levels, schedules, and shift coverage
- Train new hires and provide ongoing team development
- Communicate effectively with other shifts and departments for continuity
- Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (forklifts, scanners, etc.)
- High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred
- 2–5 years of warehouse experience, with 1–2 years in supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations (shipping, receiving, inventory)
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
