Project Manager – Mission Critical (Builders) Job Summary
We are dedicated to building critical environments common in the pharmaceutical, biotech, mission critical and other regulated industries. Our focus is on pre-construction consulting, general contracting, design-build and construction management s position centers on our mission critical business area. The ideal candidate is relationship-focused with both internal and external clients and possesses strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities- Manage long‑term Master Service Agreements with legacy clients
- Lead Design‑Build or CM@Risk teams from project pursuit to closeout
- Teach, coach, and mentor staff on best practices, procedures, and client interactions
- Collaborate with clients and design teams to resolve issues and expedite projects
- Assist with business development to generate new opportunities
- Support estimating during pre‑construction and bidding phases
- Review project estimates with operations teams to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Conduct quality control reviews of design documents and perform field evaluations
- Develop and evaluate project schedules
- Establish and forecast project budgets to completion
- Assist with project bidding and buyouts for both negotiated and hard bid projects
- Write subcontract scopes of work and initiate subcontracts
- Degree in Construction Science and Management or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of construction project management experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers and telecom
- High‑level understanding of MEP and Fiber Network Systems
- Detailed knowledge of project accounting and P&L statements
- Ability to leverage a client network to facilitate future projects
- Proven leadership experience demonstrating effective communication and servant leadership
- Collaborative approach with superintendents, project managers, architects, and engineers
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and excellent computer skills
- Exceptional listening, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Team player with self‑motivation and strong time management skills
- Proven project management experience in mission critical environments
- Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities
- Expertise in construction project management and design‑build methodologies
- In‑depth understanding of estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control processes
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and project accounting software
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and team collaboration skills
