Color Control Technician

Nazdar is actively seeking a Color Control Technician to work in the Color Match department. This individual will be responsible for developing color formulas for Nazdar-manufactured ink specials. Work with Customer Service and customers to determine match requirements.

• Coordinates production of color samples for customer approval.
• Reviews and analyzes production batches to ensure adherence to customer specifications.
• Record the formula for all matches.
• Performs visual matches, dry grind matches, and mix-match automotive matches independently.
• Utilizes advanced knowledge of Nazdar's new and existing ink lines to blend and formulate inks to achieve customer color requirements.
• Troubleshoots customer problems and offers recommendations and potential solutions.
• Evaluate order and determine if the request is a dry grind or blend and estimate formulation completion time.
• Performs job according to pre-established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

• Required:
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Strong basic math aptitude.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.
• Specific vision abilities include the ability to distinguish color.
• Preferred:
• 2-4 years experience in a QC/Color laboratory or ink production manufacturing atmosphere.
• Color computer and theory experience.
• Microsoft Office experience:
  Outlook, Excel, Access, and Word.
• M3 experience is highly preferred.
• Industry-specific knowledge and Nazdar-specific product knowledge.
