Job Title:
Quality Inspector
The Quality Inspector performs receiving, in‑process, and final inspections on components, sub‑assemblies, and finished goods within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all materials and products meet established quality standards and comply with ISO‑9001 requirements, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials before they are placed into stock to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
- Conduct in‑process inspections on components and sub‑assemblies during manufacturing to verify conformance to mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Carry out final inspections on finished goods prior to shipment to confirm they meet all quality and customer requirements.
- Identify and clearly label non‑conforming products and ensure they are properly contained to prevent inadvertent use or shipment.
- Use inspection tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and CMM equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Perform visual inspections to detect defects, damage, or inconsistencies in materials and finished products.
- Document inspection results accurately and completely in accordance with the Continuous Improvement Program and internal quality procedures.
- Comply with ISO‑9001 standards and internal quality control processes in all inspection activities.
- Collaborate with production, welding, machining, and assembly teams to communicate quality issues and support corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and handle materials and tools safely and efficiently.
- Support ongoing quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts by providing feedback and participating in quality‑related initiatives.
- Quality control experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands‑on experience using a tape measure for accurate measurements.
- Proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspections to identify defects or non‑conformances.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with quality control and quality assurance practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to identify, label, and control non‑conforming products in accordance with quality procedures.
- Capability to document inspection findings clearly and accurately as part of a Continuous Improvement Program.
- Understanding of and adherence to ISO‑9001 standards and quality system requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Welding experience is preferred and beneficial for understanding welded components and assemblies.
- Experience working in a manufacturing shop environment with welding, machining, assembly, packing, and shipping operations.
- Comfort working flexible hours within the operating window of 5:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including some Saturdays as needed.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a manufacturing shop that includes welding, machining, assembly, packing, and shipping operations. The facility is non‑climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. Personal protective equipment is required, including steel‑toe footwear, safety glasses, and jeans or similarly appropriate work attire. The standard shift is 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and you must be flexible to work additional hours as needed within the operating window of approximately 5:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., as well as some Saturdays.
The environment is hands‑on and production‑focused, with regular use of inspection tools and collaboration with multiple production teams.
