GMAW Production Welder II
Picture your morning in a clean, organized weld cell in Lenexa, KS. You review the day’s prints, dial in your MIG (GMAW) parameters, and run a first-article check. Through the shift, you move confidently between flat, horizontal, and vertical positions—building sub-assemblies and final products that pass inspection the first time. Safety and quality aren’t boxes to tick; they’re the rhythm of your workday.

Conditions:
Manufacturing / Production - Pay: $25.00 per hour
- Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- Execute MIG (GMAW) welds on both sub-assemblies and completed units across a range of materials.
- Operate in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions while holding tight quality standards.
- Interpret blueprints and welding symbols to produce parts to print.
- Set up welding equipment, fine-tune parameters, and sustain consistent bead quality.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections using appropriate gauges and measurement tools.
- Prep, clean, and stage materials to keep production flowing.
- Record production and quality data accurately and on time.
- Follow OSHA safety practices and internal quality procedures without exception.
- Support teammates and help train others when needed.
- Keep your work area clean, orderly, and audit-ready.
- 4+ years of welding experience preferred (Level II proficiency).
- Ability to read blueprints and weld to specification.
- Hands-on experience with MIG (GMAW) processes.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs as required.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.
- MIG (GMAW) process knowledge and execution.
- Blueprint reading and symbol interpretation.
- Inspection proficiency with measurement tools.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving under time constraints.
- Time management, organization, and teamwork.
- Production setting with exposure to noise, machinery, and chemicals.
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and fine motor work.
- Safe operation of welding equipment and related tools is essential.
- Formal welding certification.
- Background in ISO or other quality-managed operations.
- Fabrication or mechanical assembly experience.
