Your Role

Your Role

The Manufacturing Supervisor in Lenexa, KS, oversees all production department activities to guarantee product quality, regulatory compliance, and strict adherence to established standard operating procedures. Job duties include:

  • Manages, trains, and provides feedback to Production Technicians to ensure all products are manufactured according to established procedures and specifications.
  • Achieve company production goals and safety standards. Identify and implement improvements in quality and productivity.
  • Establishes, maintains, and audits department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure staff compliance and that all documentation remains accurate and current.
  • Develop systems to measure and control production cost, quality, and efficiency, while establishing performance standards, conducting employee reviews, and approving subordinate overtime.
  • In conjunction with the Production Planner, confirm production schedules and deploy resources to meet the agreed upon schedule.
  • Collaborates across departments to assist with the implementation and validation of new products and production systems, while participating in the establishment of purchasing specifications for equipment and supplies.
  • Control and maintain department supply inventory levels to ensure sufficient quantities to meet of Production.
  • Identify areas for optimization of equipment and supplies and assist with problem resolution.
  • Interacts directly with customers during audits and assists in investigating production-related incidents or audit deficiencies to recommend and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Provide Management reports and perform other duties as required.
  • Available to work off-shifts, weekends, and overtime hours as operational needs require.

  • Moderate-noise environment with occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, vibration, and risk of electrical shock.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other Life Sciences disciplines
  • OR
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences with five plus years of experience supervising in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as filtration, aseptic technique, sterile filling, and/or product packaging.
  • Knowledge of safety and ergonomic issues in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills with a good track record coaching and developing direct reports.
