Brief Description
The Environmental Compliance Technician is responsible for environmental compliance and management of regulated electrical equipment.
- Confirm unit details match continuation sheet and fix discrepancies.
- Print and use WHSE reports to confirm that all units are physically in their assigned areas.
- Report discrepancies to Environmental Compliance Coordinator or Environmental Manager and resolve using unit information found in Syspro.
- Pull oil samples and decide if unit needs to be tested and tagged.
- Load trailers with regulated and non‑regulated equipment for off‑site disposal.
- Identify if units have been evacuated of SF6 gas, follow SOP to ensure the unit is properly emptied and elevate questions to the Environmental Compliance Coordinator.
- Properly use PPE when processing units and materials.
- Promptly respond to requests by the EH&S Department.
- Maintain compliance by consulting EH&S Management/SOP for questions regarding unlabeled and untagged equipment.
- HS Diploma, preferred.
- Experience with small hand tools, required.
- Cooperative attitude towards all internal and external customers.
- Help team members resolve questions and assist with the workload.
- A dependable and strong work ethic; works safely.
- Professional language and conduct at all times.
