SummaryWith minimum supervision performs loading and unloading of trucks, pulling orders for shipment, and replenishment of stock while maintaining the warehouse in a clean and safe operating environment. Primary responsibilities involve safely and accurately handling, storing, and distributing various materials to support production and operational needs. Additional responsibilities include maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring timely delivery of materials to designated areas, and contributing to a seamless supply chain and shipping process.
Responsibilities- Pull orders for daily shipments.
- Verify ordered items against pick lists to ensure proper items are pulled for shipment.
- Evaluate product quality: cosmetics, cleanliness, condition of paint.
- Prepare items for shipment to protect against damage and loss.
- Attach correct paperwork to each order and prepare for daily shipments.
- Load trucks.
- Notify shipping office of any discrepancies to inventory.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse.
- Break down and incorporate inbound freight into the inventory, assigning single location for each item.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations.
- Picks inventory items against a pick list to ensure proper items are pulled for work orders or shipments.
- Perform inventory transactions to receive, transfer or issue material.
- Work with production planning, production, quality, warehouse and shipping associates to ensure all work is completed.
- Verify all paperwork is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and report to appropriate responsible person for correction.
- Comply with Quality Management System requirements.
- Complete other tasks as directed by Team Lead or Supervisor.
- Assist receiving department in the unloading of inbound freight.
- Maintain all aspects of workplace organization.
- Perform inventory related tasks as directed; cycle counts or investigations.
- Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, and kneel on a regular basis.
- Regular manual dexterity/coordination: hand/eye movements, motor control.
- Regular visual effort: concentrated reading of documentation or close viewing of computer displays.
- Work in a factory environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, heavy equipment and machinery.
- Able to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- May be exposed to hazardous substances including a variety of petroleum-based products, cleaning solvents, etc. on a regular basis.

- High School graduate, or equivalent, plus related experience as Material Handler or Warehouse Personnel.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
- Ability to meet deadlines; to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, solve problems, and complete tasks independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with supervisors, members of management, vendors, and other employees.
- Ability to drive a forklift.
- Experience in shipping, receiving and/or order pulling.
- Forklift Operation Certification desired.
