Molder I - Machine Operator

What Will You Do?Processes included:
- Material Blending:
Mix the raw materials using blending equipment to produce the needed material composition. - Compression Molding:
Manufacture PTFE bushings using compression molding equipment and processes, involving tooling, hydraulic presses, ovens, and related lifting equipment. - Sintering:
Cook the bushings using ovens to process the finished product.
- Responsible for the setup and operation of the applicable process equipment.
- Follow defined work procedures and engineering standards.
- Completely fill out inspection reports and take personal ownership of quality.
- Use various forklifts and cranes to handle the tooling and products.
- Clean and inspect the related tooling.
- Complete OPM (operator preventative maintenance).
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Work safely and efficiently with minimum supervision.
- Operate complex equipment requiring continuous attention.
- Make minor decisions and ask identifying questions.
- Learn and use the business ERP system to track and process production jobs.
- Support 5S principles such as a clean and orderly work area.
- Work overtime or weekends as needed.
- Perform any other assigned duties as directed by management.
- Majority of work shift involves standing.
- Lift and move up to 35 pounds; above 35 pounds requires lifting equipment.
- Frequent bending, stooping, pulling, and pushing.
- Good vision for close and distance with ability to focus.
- Operate applicable forklifts.
- Pass a fit test when a process requires an N95 equivalent mask.
- Read proficiently and write legibly.
- Communicate respectfully.
- Demonstrated good job performance and good attitude.
- Be a team player.
- Understand and promote business safety standards and guidelines.
- Read a tape measure.
- No travel requirements; may be invited to travel for training opportunities.
