Mid-Shift Mill Operator

Mill Operators – Ink Production

Nazdar's manufacturing plant is in search of Mill Operators
to assist in the ink production area.

• Shift is from Monday - Thursday 1:30 PM - 12 AM.
  Must be able to train on day shift for the first 3 weeks.
• Eligible for Benefits, Paid Holidays, and Paid Time Off.

Tends one or more ink manufacturing mills that grinds and blends raw materials into screen printing inks.

• Tends 3-roll mill in a continuous production/processing operation.
• Follows production process specifications, or instructions from lead or higher-level technical personnel.
• Monitors mill operations and reports any malfunctions or abnormalities in equipment to the supervisor.
• Performs grind check after required # of passes are complete, and determines if additional passes are needed. Records production and grind information of batch tickets (grind approval, batch weight, number of passes, etc.).
• Submits batch tickets to Quality Control for approval.
• Performs job according to pre-established safety, quality, and efficiency standard operating procedures.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.

• Background in manufacturing/production required.
• Two or more years of related experience outside of the Company or previous demonstrated competencies in current position within the company.
• Ability to utilize iPad and Scanners for data entry.
• Safety-oriented.
• Infor M3, ERP, or other inventory management system experience highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems.

Must be able to:

• stand and walk around the production floor for long periods
• reach with hands and arms overhead above shoulders
• bend to retrieve containers and packages
• constantly lift materials to make batches
• climb ladders to retrieve materials
• talk or hear
• frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• may be required to push/pull on wheels, up to 4000 pounds
• specific vision abilities required are ability to distinguish color
