Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions is seeking a Production Manager for a leading manufacturer of custom wire harnesses, cable assemblies, control panels, electrical consoles, instrument clusters, and electromechanical assemblies serving OEM customers across North America. This position, based in Lenexa, KS, is responsible for driving a high-performance manufacturing culture focused on safety, quality, productivity, employee development, and continuous improvement. The Production Manager will oversee production operations, planning, receiving, and support functions while ensuring efficient manufacturing processes and on-time customer delivery.

• Review production schedules and customer orders to plan manufacturing activities and ensure on-time delivery
• Establish production priorities and coordinate workflow across manufacturing departments
• Monitor production performance, quality, throughput, yield, uptime, and operational efficiency
• Review production reports and resolve operational issues to minimize downtime and reduce costs
• Analyze financial, sales, and operational data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives utilizing Demand Flow Technology (DFT) and Toyota Production System (TPS) methodologies
• Drive Kaizen events, 5S, Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, and waste reduction initiatives
• Design and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions
• Develop and implement standardized operating procedures and best practices
• Lead, coach, mentor, and develop production supervisors and support personnel
• Build high-performing teams through training, communication, and employee development
• Establish goals, assign work, and monitor team performance
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
• Delegate responsibilities while maintaining accountability for operational results
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures
• Promote a safe working environment and enforce PPE requirements
• Maintain quality standards and support on-time delivery objectives
• Build strong working relationships with employees, vendors, and internal customers
• Respond promptly to operational issues and customer inquiries
• Support additional business needs as required

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5-8 years of manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience in a production environment
• Experience leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives
• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• Strong leadership and team development abilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to solve practical manufacturing and operational problems
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to interpret written, verbal, and technical information
• Experience working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
