Role Description

The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Lenexa, KS. This position oversees daily production operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management to ensure orders are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. The Production Manager leads and coaches production teams, monitors performance metrics, and implements continuous improvement initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with engineering, quality, and procurement, resolving production issues, optimizing processes, and maintaining equipment and workplace organization.

The role also involves enforcing safety policies, supporting training and development, and contributing to operational planning and cost control.

Qualifications
  • Experience managing manufacturing or production operations, preferably in wire harness, cable assembly, or electromechanical environments
  • Skills in production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization
  • Knowledge of quality standards, inspection practices, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, 5S)
  • Strong leadership abilities, including team supervision, coaching, and performance management
  • Proficiency in using ERP or production management systems and basic data analysis tools
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications
  • Relevant experience in OEM or contract manufacturing is a plus
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
