What You'll Do
As a Material Handler Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring materials flow efficiently throughout our manufacturing operation while supporting and guiding a team of material handlers.
Leadership & Team Support
- Lead and support daily warehouse and material handling activities
- Train, coach, and assist team members to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met
- Foster a positive, team-focused culture built on accountability and continuous improvement
- Coordinate daily priorities to keep production running smoothly
Inventory & Material Control
- Ensure timely movement of materials to production areas
- Support inventory control activities, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives
- Assist with receiving, warehousing, shipping, and product identification processes
Monitor material availability and proactively address shortages - Maintain proper storage, traceability, and organization of materials
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Promote a safe work environment and compliance with all safety procedures
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Identify opportunities to improve material flow, efficiency, and workplace organization
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment
Ability to wear required PPE and operate material handling equipment safely
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or manufacturing operations
- Forklift experience and ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment
- Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Prior leadership experience
- Experience with ERP, inventory management, or warehouse management systems
- Manufacturing experience in a heavy equipment, industrial, or fabrication environment
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and cycle counting processes
