Description Assistant Press Operator
Location:
Lenexa, KS
Shift: 3rd Shift
Schedule:
11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., Sunday-Thursday
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Press Assistant to join our flexible packaging manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll work alongside a Press Operator to help prepare, run, and maintain high-speed printing equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills in a stable, team-oriented, and fast-paced production environment.
What You Will Do- Assist the Press Operator with preparing the press and all job-related materials
- Monitor and adjust inks as needed, including checking ink viscosity on an hourly basis
- Remove finished film from the machine and stage it on pallets for pickup
- Retrieve and return inks to the ink room and clean machine components between jobs
- Handle and manage hazardous waste in compliance with safety and environmental requirements
- Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and meet OSHA standards
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment
- Complete rework tasks as needed
- Ability to read a measuring tape
- Strong desire to learn and grow within manufacturing
- Ability to read, write, and follow simple, clear instructions
- Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
