Manager/Senior Manager, Brand Strategy & Communications – Omnichannel Consumer Brand

Remote (U.S.)

Travel to HQ approximately 3x per year

We're partnering with a high-growth, premium pet wellness company that's redefining how modern pet parents care for their dogs and cats. With a strong omnichannel business spanning Amazon, specialty retail, DTC, and major national retailers, they're looking for a Manager/Senior Manager, Brand Strategy & Communications to help shape the next chapter of the brand.

This isn't a traditional communications role.

We're looking for someone who understands how brand positioning, messaging, product storytelling, and creative strategy directly influence conversion across Amazon, DTC, retail, and digital media. You'll own the strategic foundation that ensures every consumer touchpoint—from product detail pages to PR, innovation launches, paid media, and retail activation—works together to drive both brand equity and business growth.

What You'll Own Brand Strategy & Positioning
  • Develop and evolve the brand positioning, messaging architecture, and value proposition
  • Ensure messaging is consistent across Amazon, DTC, retail, PR, paid media, packaging, and innovation
  • Create strategic messaging frameworks that strengthen brand differentiation and improve consumer engagement
Performance-Driven Brand Marketing
  • Partner with Ecommerce and Performance Marketing teams to optimize messaging that improves traffic, conversion, and customer acquisition
  • Shape creative briefs that connect brand storytelling with measurable business outcomes
  • Help ensure every marketing initiative balances brand building with commercial performance
Amazon & Omnichannel Content Strategy
  • Lead messaging strategy across , DTC, and retail environments
  • Optimize product detail pages, digital shelf content, comparison charts, and merchandising assets to improve conversion
  • Partner with Creative and Ecommerce teams to continuously test and refine messaging based on performance insights
  • Translate product features into clear, compelling consumer benefits
  • Develop positioning and launch messaging for innovation across ecommerce and retail channels
  • Ensure product marketing supports both long-term brand equity and short-term commercial objectives
Communications & PR
  • Lead PR agency relationships and communications strategy
  • Build integrated messaging plans that strengthen awareness while supporting broader marketing objectives
  • Ensure campaigns, media outreach, and earned media reinforce overall brand positioning
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner across Brand, Ecommerce, Creative, Product Development, Innovation, Sales, and Media
  • Serve as the internal expert on brand messaging and communication strategy
  • Develop clear strategic briefs that improve speed, alignment, and execution across teams
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in Brand Strategy, Product Marketing, Brand Communications, or Integrated Marketing
  • Experience working on an omnichannel consumer brand is required
  • Hands‑on experience marketing products on  is required
  • Strong understanding of how messaging impacts traffic, conversion, customer acquisition, and brand growth
  • Experience developing brand positioning, messaging frameworks, and consumer value propositions—not simply executing campaigns
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce content strategy, PDP optimization, and digital shelf best practices
  • Experience partnering with Performance Marketing, Ecommerce, Creative, and PR teams
  • Exceptional storytelling, writing, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment where strategy and execution go hand in hand
