Special Needs Coordinator – Kids Ministry​/Grade School Team Lead Westside Family Church

Job Description

Westside Family Church is committed to partnering with families to help kids know, love, and follow Jesus. We are seeking a passionate, creative, and organized leader to join our Kids Ministry team. This role plays an essential part in creating a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment where children can grow in faith and build lasting relationships.

• Lead and oversee weekly Kids Ministry programming for children (birth–5th grade).
• Recruit, train, and encourage volunteer teams to serve in classroom, check-in, and leadership roles.
• Collaborate with ministry staff to plan curriculum, events, and family engagement opportunities.
• Create welcoming and safe environments that reflect the love of Jesus and uphold all safety and security policies.
• Communicate regularly with volunteers and families through email, meetings, and Sunday interactions.
• Support special events such as child dedication, VBS, camps, and family outreach.
• Maintain supplies, classroom organization, scheduling systems, and ministry resources.
• Model servant leadership and spiritual growth through prayer, Scripture, and community involvement.

• A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission and values of Westside Family Church.
• Passion for sharing the gospel with children and partnering with parents.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience in children’s ministry, education, or volunteer coordination (preferred but not required).
• Ability to work collaboratively on a team and adapt in a dynamic environment.
