KC Digital Drive Community Coordinator VISTA
The Unified Government of Wyandotte County Ameri Corps VISTA Program strengthens local capacity to expand economic opportunity for low-income and underserved residents. This position supports KC Digital Drive (KCDD), a regional civic organization advancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and digital access. The VISTA member will support development of systems and processes that improve coordination across programs such as Tech Central, the Regional University Research Collective, and the Health Innovation Team.
This includes assisting with planning and coordination of events, workshops, and community engagement activities that connect residents, entrepreneurs, and partners to resources and opportunities. The member will help develop and maintain tools for stakeholder engagement, including contact lists, outreach strategies, and communication materials. They will also support documentation of ecosystem assets, programs, and best practices to strengthen long-term capacity for innovation and economic development.
Additionally, the VISTA will assist in tracking participation and engagement metrics, supporting evaluation and continuous improvement efforts. They will contribute to the development of reports, presentations, and storytelling materials that highlight program impact and outcomes. By strengthening systems for community engagement, coordination, and resource connection, this project will expand access to innovation and entrepreneurship opportunities, helping residents build skills, connect to networks, and access pathways that support economic mobility and long-term stability.

Member DutiesThe Ameri Corps VISTA member will develop and support systems that strengthen community engagement and innovation initiatives. The member will assist with planning and coordination of events, outreach to partners and participants, and development of tools for stakeholder engagement. They will help document programs, resources, and best practices, and support tracking of participation and engagement metrics. The VISTA will also assist in creating reports, presentations, and communication materials that highlight program impact.
These efforts will improve coordination and expand access to resources and opportunities for underserved residents.
