Wyandotte County Parks Foundation Development Initiatives
The Unified Government of Wyandotte County Ameri Corps VISTA Program strengthens local capacity to improve access to parks, recreation, and community resources for low-income and underserved residents. This position supports the Parks Foundation by developing sustainable systems for outreach, partnership development, and resource development. The VISTA member will support the creation of outreach and engagement strategies that increase awareness of parks programs and initiatives.
This includes developing tools to track partnerships, building systems to maintain relationships with community organizations, and creating communication materials that support consistent engagement.
The member will also assist in strengthening fundraising capacity by developing campaign strategies, identifying funding opportunities, and creating tools to track donor engagement and contributions. In addition, the VISTA will help build systems for volunteer recruitment and coordination, including partnerships with schools and community groups.
By strengthening systems for outreach, partnerships, and resource development, this project will improve access to parks and recreational opportunities. These efforts will help connect residents to safe and supportive community spaces, contributing to improved well-being and stability for residents experiencing poverty.
Member DutiesThe Ameri Corps VISTA member will develop and support systems for outreach, partnerships, and fundraising. The member will create tools to track partnerships, develop outreach strategies, and produce communication materials. They will assist in building systems for fundraising campaigns and volunteer recruitment, including tracking tools and engagement strategies. The VISTA will also help develop processes that support long-term sustainability of programs and partnerships.
These efforts will strengthen access to parks and community resources for underserved residents.
