Job Description- Coordinate patient care across PACU, inpatient units, radiology, and anesthesia.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and orders.
- Monitor patient progress, document and adjust care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and other providers for coordinated care.
- Manage daily schedules and ensure staffing and equipment availability for endoscopy.
- Prioritize patient needs based on acuity and urgency for timely care.
- Serve as resource for staff regarding procedures, equipment, and patient care.
- Facilitate communication among team members to promote continuity of care.
- Supervise and direct nursing assistants and support staff, evaluating performance.
- Educate patients and families about care plans and health management.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, providing immediate care and stabilization.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards.
- High-level abstract reasoning for patient assessment and care plan revision.
- Basic computer skills and navigation of Microsoft Windows programs.
- Supervision experience and competency.
- Maintain license; demonstrate ongoing professional development.
- Accurately identify and solve service problems with communication.
- Participate in project teams and committees, including documentation of meeting minutes.
- Provide leadership and manage operational finances for department efficiency.
- Ensure compliance and effective scheduling of personnel hours and overtime.
- Collaborate with nurse leader on policies, procedures, and staffing strategies.
- Lead code response and schedule oversight per policy.
- Demonstrate strong communication, critical thinking, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in clinical skills with professional bedside manner and status maintenance.
- Maintain confidences and abide by ethical standards.
- Address conflict with tact, promoting positive relationships with staff, patients, and physicians.
- Maintain ongoing contact within the department and with other units.
- Effective use of ceremonies and procedural guidelines.
- Proficiency in Cerner a plus.
- Effective communication in English, additional languages preferred.
- Critical thinking, teamwork, conflict resolution, and prioritization.
- Leadership and complex problem‑solving ability.
- Documentation competence within the electronic medical record.
- Associate's of Nursing – Required
- Bachelor's of Nursing – Preferred
- 1+ year acute care hospital experience – Preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) – Required
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) – Preferred
- Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) – Required
- Acute/Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist (CCNS) – Preferred
- Chemotherapy Certificate (CHEMO) – Preferred
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) – Preferred
- Non Violent Crisis Intervention Program – Preferred
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – Preferred
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (CEFM) – Preferred
- Certified EKG Technician (CET) – Preferred
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) – Preferred
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Preferred
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) – Preferred
- S.T.A.B.L.E. Certification – Preferred
- Trauma Nurse Course Certified (TNCC) – Preferred
