About the RoleFull‑time. Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year. Good Life Innovations is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to monitor and respond to the health needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and other special needs. As a Clinical Services Nurse, you will maximize the health of the people we serve by conducting assessments, monitoring health and dietary needs, and administering first aid and medications. You will provide training and support to direct care staff regarding medication and health‑related procedures.
Responsibilities- Conduct physical assessments, monitor health and dietary needs, and administer first aid, medications, and other health care procedures according to physician instructions.
- Promote high‑quality medication administration by training staff, developing best‑practice procedures, and tracking medication errors.
- Coordinate healthcare appointments and accompany clients and staff to specialty appointments.
- Ensure proper implementation of care and compliance with health‑care policies by carrying the designated company cell phone, responding to calls, and periodically serving as the designated on‑call nurse.
- Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hours or weekend nursing needs.
- Assist clients physically with and without adaptive equipment.
- Maintain strong computer skills (Google applications) and learn to use computer‑based health records systems.
- Maintain flexibility in assigned working hours and location based on client needs.
- Current and valid Kansas Registered Nurse license.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (preferred).
- Ability to physically assist individuals served, with and without adaptive equipment.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn computer‑based health records systems.
