Job Title

Nurse Internship – open across HCA Midwest Hospitals. Role is PRN and flexible, ideal for students and recent graduates within RN programs.

Positions include Nurse Intern, Student Nurse Extern, Nurse Internship, Student Nurse Externship.

Available at:
Belton Regional, Centerpoint Medical Center, Lee's Summit Medical Center, Lafayette Regional, Menorah Medical Center, Overland Park Regional, Research Medical Center, Research Psychiatric Center.

• Deliver high quality, patient‑centered care by performing delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
• Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the Nurse Extern’s skills/training and the needs of the Department.
• Assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well‑organized, and safe patient care environment.
• Post orientation and clinical skills check‑off, gain hands‑on experience working with an RN and performing additional nursing skills.

• Actively enrolled and in good standing in an accredited nursing program (RN).
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals required.
• High School Graduate or GED.
• Graduates of RN program only; LPN students not accepted.

• Flexible schedule with opportunity to earn shadow time on additional units (Float Pool, Medical Surgical, Ortho Neuro, Ortho Trauma, Transplant, Oncology, Cardiac Care, Step Down, PCU).
