Job SummaryUnder the general direction of the HCA Midwest Maternal Transport Coordinator, Transport Program Director and Transport Medical Director (Maternal Leadership Team), the Maternal Transport Nurse identifies, plans, implements and evaluates the stabilization and emergency care of high‑risk maternal patients in collaboration with the Medical Control Provider.
Commitment to performing daily transport responsibilities each shift and serving as an exceptional ambassador for HCA to referring facilities, staff, and providers.
Provides care in accordance with hospital policies, applicable state Nurse Practice Acts, and AAP Guidelines for Air and Ground Transport.
Qualifications- Graduate of school of nursing required.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license.
- BCLS and NRP required upon hire and maintained while in this role.
- RNC‑OB (Inpatient Obstetrics) certification within 18 months of hire and must be maintained.
- C‑EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification required within 6 months of hire and must be maintained.
- Prefer minimum of 3 years current clinical experience as an RN working in a tertiary obstetrical care center.
- Medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, behavioral health and telemedicine services.
