Job Summary
The Sepsis Coordinator/RN Nurse Reviewer is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for coordinating the Sepsis Program, ensuring early goal directed therapy requirements are met, assessing staff educational needs, developing educational programs and materials, and maintaining confidentiality. The role includes collecting clinical data, verifying and updating information, and sharing prepared sepsis and quality management program data with key stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Coordinate the Sepsis Program to meet early goal directed therapy requirements.
- Assess educational needs of staff in designated clinical departments and assist in developing sepsis educational programs and materials.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of data.
- Accurately and timely collect clinical data, verify and update information, and share prepared sepsis and quality management program data with stakeholders.
- Utilize ICD-10, Injury Severity Coding, and QA/PI knowledge to abstract information.
- Assess quality of care using evidence‑based tools for systematic audit of Sepsis and Core Measure specific patients during all phases of care, from pre‑hospital response through rehabilitation.
- Provide assistance to medical staff and all hospital departments in implementing and sustaining performance improvement processes.
- Perform technical and specialized tasks involved in current and retrospective evaluation of patient care.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
