Associate Scientist; Chemistry

Job Summary:

An Associate Scientist is responsible for performing entry-level chemical testing to support raw material, in-process, stability, and finished product quality control. Effectively communicates work and results both orally and in writing.

Hourly Range: $23.45 - $32.95 (Final pay determined by experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities).

• Articulate work-related issues clearly and effectively to management and peers.
• Perform accurate routine chemical testing (FTIR, TLC, PM, UV-Vis) to meet departmental objectives.
• Document testing in compliance with Good Documentation Practices.
• Update and route SOPs, MOAs, specifications through Documentum, as delegated.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed for each project.
• Ensure documentation meets facility audit and cGMP/GLP requirements.
• Manage work and time based on departmental priorities using judgment and objective reasoning.
• Perform good housekeeping practices and follow safety-related policies.
• Make recommendations.
• Perform peer review of data to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.
