Quality Assurance Specialist – Fire Door Compliance

We are hiring a Quality Assurance Specialist to review, audit, and validate fire door inspection reports, documentation, and project deliverables before they are provided to customers. This role works closely with Field Service Technicians and Operations teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with NFPA standards and customer requirements. What You'll Do
- Review and audit fire door inspection reports, door specifications, and project documentation
- Verify the accuracy of deficiencies, repair recommendations, and resolution options
- Validate documentation using Life Safety Plans (LSPs), blueprints, inspection data, and photographs
- Ensure reports meet company quality standards and customer expectations
- Identify discrepancies and work with Field Service Technicians to resolve issues
- Maintain professional communication with technicians, operations, and leadership teams
- Support continuous improvement efforts related to reporting accuracy and quality
- Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For
- 1+ year of fire door, construction, facilities, quality assurance, or life safety experience preferred
- Understanding of NFPA codes and standards preferred
- Experience reading Life Safety Plans (LSPs) and blueprints preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to identify inconsistencies and make sound decisions using critical thinking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Physical Requirements
- Regular standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, and reaching
- Ability to climb ladders and work above ceiling spaces
- Ability to work in confined spaces and containment units
- Ability to safely lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 20 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age to meet company driving and insurance eligibility requirements
- Valid driver's license required. Ability to obtain and maintain identification necessary for work-related travel is required
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time (market dependent)
- Ability to work occasional overtime, nights, weekends, or modified schedules as business needs require
Compensation & Benefits Disclosure:
The compensation range for this position is $60,000-$70,000 annually. This range represents REMEDI8's good-faith estimate of the compensation expected to be offered to a successful candidate at the time of hire. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, certifications, geographic location, market conditions, and business needs.
Placement within the compensation range will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, certifications, education, geographic market, internal equity, and business needs.
