We're looking for an Engineering Quality Manager responsible for leading the implementation and management of the Quality Management System (QMS) across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with company standards, procedures, contractual requirements, and industry regulations. This role involves planning and performing quality audits and assessments, managing quality teams, providing consultation to project teams, identifying opportunities for improvement, and promoting a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) on projects, ensuring alignment with ISO 9000/9001 and company standards.
- Developing and maintaining Project Quality Plans, addressing compliance gaps, and driving adoption of QMS practices.
- Conducting project quality audits and assessments, leading multi-assessor audits, and implementing quality assurance processes.
- Identifying non-conformance trends, executing corrective actions, and fostering continuous improvement.
- Building, managing, and mentoring quality teams, setting clear expectations and providing feedback.
- Ensuring proactive risk identification and mitigation on projects, developing risk strategies, and escalating concerns to leadership when needed.
- Aligning quality initiatives with business objectives, driving strategic improvements, and contributing to overall organizational goals.
- Overseeing project and district-level documentation, analyzing data to identify trends, and ensuring accurate corporate reporting.
- Engaging clients and external partners, representing the company on quality matters, and fostering relationships to achieve objectives.
- Communicating persuasively across organizational levels, collaborating to implement quality initiatives, and promoting continuous improvement.
- Anticipating and mediating conflicts, working to find common ground and resolve high-risk issues.
- Exhibiting strong problem-solving skills, addressing complex issues, and leading innovative solutions.
- Prioritizing tasks, managing project quality activities, and handling complex workloads efficiently.
- Maintaining relevant certifications, engaging in professional growth, and advising on industry standards and codes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of project quality experience.
- Strong engineering or technical background related to assigned responsibilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate across organizational levels.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of ISO Standards.
- Strategic thinking and initiative to drive improvements and align with business objectives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerBI.
- Experience with quality management software and database applications.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and technologies supporting quality functions.
- Relevant quality certifications preferred: ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, ASQ Certified Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence, Six Sigma Green Belt, etc.
