Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep
General Function
Responsible for performing duties in a manufacturing environment within distribution and inventory areas. All duties and procedures are carried out according to established standards and in compliance with company and governing body policies. Regular attendance and overtime availability are required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Distribution
- Frame Receiving: match and verify incoming frames with work orders.
- Frame Tracing: remove lenses, operate tracing machines, mark lenses for axis orientation and calibrate the machines.
- Frame Management: match frames and lenses to ensure timely launch and prioritization of products.
- Shipping: scan trays, prepare invoices, match invoices to tray numbers, sort trays numerically by account number, wrap finished jobs, and close boxes with appropriate labels for shipping.
- Inventory
- Lens Receiving: place lenses in correct inventory locations and rotate stock.
- Lens Pick: select appropriate lenses from shelves based on work tickets.
- Lens Ordering: create lens orders for suppliers and assist customer service with availability.
- Outsourcing: execute necessary steps to send or receive lens orders within the Essilor Luxottica lab network.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment and communicate effectively within a team.
- Reading, writing, and comprehending simple instructions in English.
- Basic arithmetic skills, including addition, subtraction, and decimal sequencing.
- Good use of vision, color perception, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Ability to manipulate objects with hands and fingers, transfer small items, and perform fine motor tasks.
- Planning, organizing, implementing policies and procedures, multitasking, prioritizing, and using sound judgment.
- Ability to stand for at least 8 hours a day.
- Capability to perform repetitive motions.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Prior related experience and/or training.
Employee pay is determined by geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, a competitive bonus and/or commission plan may be offered. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and employee discounts.
