Business Development Manager (BDM) – FMS

Location: Lenexa, KS

Base Salary: $68,000 + Lucrative Uncapped Commission Structure

• Develop pre‑sales strategy for target accounts and maintain a pipeline that meets or exceeds quota revenues.
• Respond proactively to leads, representing the full spectrum of Ryder services.
• Collaborate with Account Representatives, Customer Development Managers and National Sales to generate and transition new opportunities.
• Conduct quality needs assessments and prepare value‑based proposals.
• Support sales protocol compliance, maintain sales activity reports, and foster relationships with Corporate Business Units.
• Assist in multi‑functional expansion of sales opportunities with MDS, Safety, Finance, and other resources.
• Train and improve sales skills, industry knowledge, and personal growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across all levels.
• High initiative, self‑motivation, and flexibility for fast‑paced environments.
• Strong multitasking, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent field.
• Five or more years of sales experience with demonstrated quota achievement.
• Understanding of Ryder product offerings and ability to present full service portfolio.
• Advanced ability to interpret financial data.
