Role
Purpose:
To drive pipeline generation and conversion activities for Vodafone Fixed, Cyber, Cloud, Voice, and MPN products/services within the Americas account base in Vodafone Business International (VBI).
- Shape customer demand before formal RFX processes to ensure Vodafone is best placed to win new business
- Support Global Account Managers to develop account plans that drive adoption of high-value products and services
- Run workshops and build trust with customers, offering high-level technical leadership
- Act as “voice of customer” at the bid phase of opportunities, ensuring internal stakeholders align on customer demand
- Maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers, focusing on “high touch” teams with account responsibility
- Work to secure favorable conditions from suppliers to win profitably
- Collaborate with third parties on consortium or “joint” bids
- Assist Global Account Managers in scoping sales opportunities and developing technical win strategies
- Engage Vodafone internal stakeholders to assess feasibility and find joint solutions
- Guide pre‑sales feasibility teams to obtain the best price for fixed access services, collaborating with Partner (Carrier) Management
- Responsible for handing over won deals to Build and Run functions and technical administration for order placement
- Confidence to present on and run workshops across Vodafone Business International portfolio (Fixed, Cyber, Cloud, Voice, MPN)
- Market awareness to discuss vendor investments, news, threats, and analyst opinions
- Proficiency with Vodafone platforms (Quoting, Ordering, Reporting, Tracking)
- Provide continuous feedback on customer interactions to stakeholders
- Support new product development activities, especially in customer engagement and technical win strategy
- 5+ years technical sales experience
- In‑depth knowledge of secure networking (SASE, SDWAN, Firewalling), OSI layers, and optical/ethernet/IP
- High‑level understanding of Unified Communications (SIP, PSTN, Cloud PBX)
- Mobile data architectures (modern RAN, Core)
- Cyber security services (Detection/Response, Endpoint, OT, Cloud, AI)
- Cloud architectures with focus on multi‑cloud networking and management
- Business development skills – confident presenter holding customer attention
- Experience in change management in technology contexts
- Team player with strong influence and relationship‑management skills
- Self‑starter with determination and diplomacy
- Operate independently, making decisions quickly in complex environments
- Experience across remote international teams
- Excellent customer relationship management at executive level
- Strong commercial understanding of bid finance and basic accounting
- Public speaker / influencer
- Assist Account Managers in identifying and scoping sales leads for complex voice and data solutions
- Demonstrate ROI benefits to customers using Vodafone’s products and services
- Produce solution and service descriptions for customer tender documents
Achieve new business (Annual Order Value) versus target - Adhere to performance metrics and boundaries set annually in the “Solution Sales Ways of Working” document
Base salary range: $107,184 – $135,000 per year. Total Target Compensation (TTC) includes base salary + commission. Commission details are provided by the recruiter.
